Application and testing for health care and surface active products for the elaboration of a market overview.

EXPERIENCE AND FACILITIES

The GreenValue group is involved in the industrial development of biomass-processing technologies and in the commercialization of the resulting products. GreenValue has facilities in Europe and Asia and is the largest producer of sulphur-free lignins worldwide, marketing in industrial as well as animal health and nutrition applications. Through Granit Research Development, Greenvalue has been a partner in several EU projects. Within FP6, the company was involved in ECOBINDERS (in which sustainable binders based on lignin and furan polymers were developed), NILE (cellulosic ethanol biorefinery) and EUROLIGNIN (coordination network for lignin standardization), and is currently active in the BIORENEW (application of white biotechnology to biomass fractions). Within FP7, the company is involved in the recently started AFORE (forest biorefineries) and LED (Lignocellulosic ethanol demonstration).
Greenvalue has lab facilities for lignin characterization (FTIR, functional group analysis, molecular weight distribution) and for lignin derivatization and evaluation in end-use applications. The company also has pilot facilities for lignin recovery.
